SMR Metalli operates in the recovery, trading of ferrous materials and disposal of metals, scrap and industrial waste. SMR Metalli has a strong previous experience in the sale of ferrous metals, which, combined with an efficient working method, allows to offer a quality service that in 2021 recorded 2,415,710 kg of recovered and started material.
In less than a year, we started a strategy of SEO-SEM, flanked by a strategy of “LinkedIn Funnel”, focused on bringing qualified contacts, creating from scratch the corporate page on LinkedIn, social still sparsely populated by companies in this sector.
RESULTS
In less than 1 year of work, with a B2B digital marketing strategy in the metal recovery sector, SMR recorded:
1 ON GOOGLE for all the key words of reference in the industry surpassing competitors + NEW QUALITY CONTACTS, making themselves known from scratch on LinkedIn, in niche areas.

THE CHALLENGE
The need for SMR Metals was to position itself from scratch on Google to get new customers and increase the targeted visibility of the brand on LinkedIn, to get in touch with large target companies.

1. COMPETITORS ANALYSIS & KEYWORD STRATEGY
Before setting up the SEO strategy, we carried out a preliminary analysis of competitors and keywords to use, studying the industry, context and online positioning of competitors of SMR Metals, sifting through all possible b2b marketing strategies for the metal recovery industry. We then carried out a keyword strategy, identifying industry keywords useful to convert users on the site.
2. SEO OPTIMIZATION & LOCAL STRATEGY
Secondly, our SEO agency, in the operational phase has optimized the site, both in terms of key messages and content, with the aim of increasing the conversion rate. First, we focused on the service pages, and then we worked on the rest of the site. We have placed the Google Local Business tab so that you have visibility even in local searches.
3. CRO OPTIMIZATION
The contents of the site have been optimized with the aim of making the site more user friendly and return clear information to users. In addition, we have included in the pages call to action and targeted messages with the purpose of lead generation in the metal recovery industry, that is to generate the greatest number of contacts (future customers).
4. LINKEDIN FUNNEL
In parallel with SEO optimization, we carried out marketing for the metal recovery industry, creating the LinkedIn company page from scratch, writing the editorial plan that included creating a questionnaire to be sent to contacts and sponsoring the posts. This has contributed to the visibility of SMR in Italy and the obtaining of new Leads in the sector.

The final result was very satisfactory: fundamental leads generated by the marketing department of SMR and then passed to Sales.
